In the first academic gathering in the United States to present a comprehensive review of the Belitung shipwreck, John Guy, Derek Heng, and Bryan Averbuch discuss various aspects of maritime trade routes during the Tang Dynasty period. The conversation was part of a symposium co-organized by Asia Society and the Tang Center for Early China at Columbia University and was moderated by Dora C.Y. Ching with welcome remarks by H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang.
